Hot cut border and laser cut border are the two options.
hot cut border
For patches with irregular shape or regular shape, you can choose heat cut border. The border is with satin stitches.
laser cut border
In most case, we leave bare felt as border, it will be laser cut in this way.
Backing Styles
It depends on how you will apply the patches to garment, hat and so on. There are usually two backing options: sew on and iron on.
iron on backing
we will put heat seal glue on back. iron on is the most common option as it is easier than sew on.
sew on backing
we will put nothing on back. sew on is cheapest and with best durability. DST sewing file can be offered freely.
Layers of Felt
You can choose one layer, two layers or even three layers of felt for chenille patches or chenille letters.
One Layer of Felt
There is only one layer of felt to hold the chenille yarn, it is cheaper and most common.
Two Layers of Felt
Top layer is to hold the chenille yarn, bottom layer is sewed under the top layer with wider border.
